Recyclable Lightweight Waterproof Vine Guard
Jun 08, 2026
These green translucent vine guards are manufactured from UV-stabilized twin-wall polypropylene (PP) corrugated sheet-commonly known as Corflute or Coroplast tree protectors. The fluted hollow structure gives them excellent rigidity while keeping them lightweight, and the integrated UV inhibitor allows 3+ years of outdoor service without cracking or excessive fading.
Designed to shield young saplings, grapevines, and ornamental shrubs during their most vulnerable early growth stage, the guard forms a physical barrier against rabbit and rodent browsing, herbicide spray drift, lawn-mower damage, and abrasive wind or sand. Its light-green tinted surface admits sufficient photosynthetically active light while creating a modest greenhouse microclimate that helps retain soil moisture and promotes faster establishment.
Installation is quick and tool-friendly: guards are supplied flat-packed, folded on-site into a triangular or square tube around the stem, then secured with a single wooden stake or bamboo cane-some designs use a simple tab-and-slot system so no staples are required. Vent holes can be pre-punched or added in the field. After the growing season they unfold flat for storage, can be reused for several cycles, and are fully recyclable at end-of-life
